Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of KDP Always (“we”, “us”). By using the tool you agree to them.
1. What KDP Always does
KDP Always calculates cover dimensions and checks your cover against Amazon KDP print rules. Calculating dimensions, downloading a blank template, and seeing a summary of what the check found are free. Getting the issue details and a corrected, KDP-ready cover file is a paid feature.
2. Paying for a fix
When you pay, it covers one cover. Your purchase includes a number of downloads of the corrected file, based on the plan you buy and shown on your account. Re-running the check is always free and unlimited. Your download credits do not expire. To download again later, sign in and upload the same cover. Because we do not keep a copy of your file, each download re-runs the fix and uses one credit.
3. What the fix covers
The paid fix corrects cover size, bleed, and trim box for you automatically. For the parts that only you can decide, such as barcode area, image resolution, safe margins, and front and back placement, we point to exactly what is wrong and where, and you can re-check for free until it passes. We also check color mode, font embedding, and transparency and tell you if anything looks risky.
4. No guarantee of KDP approval
We check your cover against Amazon KDP’s published print specifications. Amazon carries out its own review when you upload your files and can change its requirements at any time, so we cannot guarantee that any particular cover will be approved. What we do is tell you where your cover does not match the current specifications, and correct the sizing issues for you.
5. Refunds
The corrected file is delivered digitally and straight away, so we do not offer refunds once you have downloaded it. If we charged you but the tool did not produce a file, or produced a file that will not open, email hello@kdpalways.com within 14 days and we will refund you or put it right. This does not cover Amazon’s decision on your cover, changes you make to your own design, or a change of mind.
6. Your account and credits
You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Download credits are for your own use. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, for example by attempting to bypass payment.
7. Intellectual property
Your cover file and its content remain yours, including the corrected file we produce for you. The KDP Always site, its text, and its tools remain ours and may not be copied or resold.
8. Payment processing
Payments are processed by our payment provider. By paying, you also agree to their terms. We do not store your full card details.
9. Liability
The tool is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the cover the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Disputes will be handled by the Taipei District Court. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country that the law gives you.
